If love is forever, how can it be that people who were once deeply in love can grow apart and stop loving each other after many years together? Have you heard the story about the turtle and the snake? Snake can't swim, so he asks the turtle for a ride across the creek. Turtle refuses, fearing he'll be bitten. But the charming snake logically explains that if he were to bite him, he wouldn't make it across the creek. The turtle obliges, and as they reach land the snake bites the turtle. As the venom takes effect, the turtle asks "why did you bite me?" "Because I'm a snake, and that is my nature," snake replies.
