And so the moon returns
to speak its truth
for us to glorify
its majesty,
and grace
and we stand in awe
but only for a night
the fullness
enthralls
and then we forget
we remember that the moon,
though natural,
betrays,
deceives,
and disappears
do not depend on its
light
or guidance
or even presence.
the moon has a mind of its own.
