Day 10: Blue-Green

Wearing: Urban decay sin, maui wowie, shattered, mildew, and wet n wild black eyeliner over mirabella eye and face primer

I live this green and blue together...they're compatible and cool..yet warm

More Summer Coolers

The best summer cooler I've had so far is coconut water!

I also love iced caramel coffee drinks from Starbucks so I'm eager to try this Nescafe drink at home

The two things I had high hopes for that turned out badly are aloe and vegetable juices...one tastes unnatural and the other tastes like tomato sauce

I'll stick to my regulars

Wet n Wild Things

I picked up a limited edition wnw palette from the baked line. I love baked eyeshadows and wet n wild so i just couldn't pass it up.

They're ok for baked eyeshadows, definitely not as buttery as the regular line. I love the pigmentation even just dry without a primer. They're all shimmery with the exception of the black shade which appears more matte. My favorite shades are the silvery taupe, electric blue and black. It also came with a mascara that I'm not impressed with. I would've preferred the silver taupe eyeliner it was previously packaged with

I picked up the java wet and wild lipstick which is a perfect daytime and nighttime nude.

The only thing i don't like is the nail polish....i like the color without the frosty finish

The purple color icon eyeliner is pigmented and soft enough

Daily Gratitude

An awesome day at work filled with great challenges

Elf acne fighting foundation. I love the little tube it comes in...practical and cute. I also love the coverage from this. I blend it with my Loreal true match foundation. Essentially, i use it as a concealer for blemishes

Elf lip conditioning balm. I feel as though I'll use this mostly at night to keep my lips soft and hydrated. The texture is buttery and creamy and it formula it's perfect. I wish i had chosen an actual color instead of this neutral though

Elf lotion wipes. I can't get enough of these. I've used about give between yesterday and today. They are very hydrating and i use them as cleansing wipes as well...so it's a two in one step

I think elf is going to be in a lot of my daily gratitude posts. Some of the products are really awesome and they're super affordable

Impulsive Shopping

I'm kind of losing the point here. I can't really distinguish between things i really want because they're true to who i am versus the image i want to portray or the kind of person i want to be

I'm also impulsive....I buy whatever i want and hardly say no to myself. This is a problem for me because i really want to be disciplined and have self control. I'm also accumulating more things that i don't need. Sometimes immediately after I make a purchase, i realize that i could've lived without it

The point is... i need to stop buying so much to fulfill my impulsive needs because it just leads to me accumulating STUFF

I need to go back to doing creative things instead of focusing my energy on getting things.

I saw these photos on everydaymakeupblog that made me feel better about buying another eyeshadow palette..especially since i have so many that i don't use already..but that's still beyond the point.

Every time i leave h&m our forever 21 without buying something i consider it an accomplishment

But the other side of the coin is i get the stuff i really crave. I'm grateful i didn't buy my denim jacket a month ago because i got it half-off today..along with two other treasures that i couldn't say no to because they looked flattering on me
