While i was on the train i heard the sounds of a video game a child was playing. And as i closed my eyes and listened it brought me back to when i was younger playing my Nintendo after school. My biggest obstacle/stress in life at the time was that my older cousin could beat all the masters and i couldn't
Now that I'm older I see a lot of parallels between life and video games:
Video games teach you about endurance and perseverance, especially when you have to start over from scratch and all that hard work from before goes to waste. But each time you start over you get to that next checkpoint a little quicker each time. ... that's mastery taking over
I also learned that winning some games isn't worth the struggle and time. Other than the satisfaction of beating yet another master, the end point isn't always worth what you have to go through to reach it. Similarly, some battles in life aren't worth it... either they're no fun or they add no value to you life
