Empties: Ipsy

I decided to do this post because there are things I've gotten from this subscription that i haven't used more than once...both sample and full sized products

Things from ipsy that I've used up:

Nailtini frappe nail polish...i liked this because it was sheer and i could use it to tone down bright colors. I wore it a lot this way and a few times by itself. I would've never picked this up for myself so I'm glad i got this..I'm on my way to finishing my other two nail polishes from ipsy.

Juice beauty organic hydrating mist..i used this every night because i loved how it made my skin look in the morning. It was also an easy application since i didn't have to use my fingers..and i got use to the smell

Pacifica tucson blood orange...love how this smells..but I've since gotten the island vanilla roll on perfume by pacifica and i think i want to purchase the line in that scent instead

Pop beauty mascara..who knew i could use anything but maybelline's falsies

Josie maran argan oil..loved this...especially on my skin

Nume oil...love love this for my hair...it doesn't leave it feeling greasy...just healthy and moisturized. I also think it minimizes my frizz. I def want to buy a full bottle of this stuff

I also used up the make up remover wipes

I've been loving dark eyeshadow on my lower lids and my imperfect teeth

Elf Taupe Love

Initially i thought maui wowie would have more dimension than elf's custom taupe eyeshadow but on my lids the only difference is that maui wowie has more shimmer and glitter

Love this alternative..it also stays put with a primer

maui wowie is more pigmented but i loaded on this shadow and i love it. The best part is..no glitter on my cheeks

The One and Only Eyeshadow

If i could only have one urban decay eyeshadow i would probably choose maui wowie. I love how well it brightens my eyes and makes my face come to life

It's also really versatile since i can use it in my inner corners, on my lower lids, eyelids and browbones. It goes well with other ud colors right thoughout the seasons. I also love ishahxbeauty used it to create a gradient on her red lips

Elf Taupe

I wanted an eyeshadow similar to UD Maui wowie without all the glitter and since I'm in "elf mode" i picked up elf custom refill in taupe. It's flaky and powdery when swatched dry. It's definitely better with a primer.

When i compared the elf taupe swatch to a maui wowie look i did a few days ago (inner corner), the colors appeared almost exact

I'll have to see how well it holds up throughout the day

Thankful for elf products...i just wish they had more colors

I miss the days when i was so so care free..i didn't know anything about paying bills or saving for retirement because i was free of responsibilities. All i did was enjoy my youth. I'm grateful that my parents were in a position to raise me comfortably....i was a happy, exuberant, free spirited..sometimes loud and effervescent child.

Now I'm more focused on living practicality and fulfilling my destiny. I pray that I'm on the right track and that God will grant me further guidance and direction.

A part of me wants to retain that wild streak but in a more controlled way..maybe sky diving...just something to get all of that out of my system...but something tells me that will fuel my fire

If you are cool and collected, you can always warm up as the situation changes. But if you are too heated and passionate - you could fire off some rather damning comments. Health and my legs to carry me around. I'm blessed to be physically equipped to do what i want to do. I know I won't always be this way because I'm getting older. But I'm grateful for the condition I'm currently in

Lower lid and crease definer: wnw knock on wood crease shade

Browbone: elf golden goddess quad first shade

Eyebrows: elf golden goddess quad last shade

This look lasted throughout a day bbq and the night. I used urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero instead of my wnw color icon black eyeliner because i knew i wouldn't have time to touch up my makeup

I stuck to a natural face and wore the colors in my jewelry
