Standing Your Ground

If you draw a line in the sand, the tide will soon wash it away. No matter how passionately you felt when you drew that line in the sand, the water will erode it until it is invisible and forgotten. The same thing applies when you stand up for yourself with your words and your actions, only to back down later out of fear or a lack of self-confidence. If you believe someone isn't treating you right, or if there has been an injustice, stand up for yourself and say what you're feeling.
